About
Dr. Donna Bradbury

Hi, I'm Donna! I find great satisfaction in finessing the ‘art’ of academic writing, to help you clearly communicate your hard work to the world. I'm a research scientist who has been in academia or research for over 15 years. I know what it’s like to be in your shoes and I'm here to help!
Donna enjoys providing academic editing services to researchers and postgraduate students, helping them to professionally and efficiently tidy up their manuscripts before submission. She is skilled at writing and editing scientific and academic texts, particularly in the biological, environmental and life sciences. She also enjoys editing work written in English as a second language.
Donna completed a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours, majoring in Botany and Zoology, at The University of Western Australia (UWA) in 2006. She then obtained her PhD in plant population genetics and biodiversity conservation from UWA/Kings Park in 2013. For the following 10 years she was a Research Scientist for the Western Australian government, conducting conservation genetics research on native flora. She has published her work in several peer-reviewed, international scientific journals. She is currently re-training in human forensic genetics, further extending the diversity of her experience.
In 2025 she proudly launched Caria Editing to leverage her extensive experience in scientific writing and editing to help other scholars. Donna lives with her family in Perth, Western Australia.
If you think I can help make your pathway to submission easier, I'd love to hear from you.
Donna
